Genesis|2:16 The LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Genesis|2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The sentance was passed before the crime was commited, the crime of treason. Treason turning over to Satan the rights and priviledges given to man by God.

Genesis|3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Genesis|3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

Genesis|3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Genesis|3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Genesis|3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Genesis|3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did

eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

2 Samuel|3:21 And Abner said unto David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel unto my lord the king, that they may make a league with thee, and that thou mayest reign over all that thine heart desireth. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace.

2 Samuel|3:25 Thou knowest Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive thee, and to know thy going out and thy coming in, and to know all that thou doest.

2 Samuel|3:27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside in the gate to speak with him quietly, and smote him there under the fifth rib, that he died, for the blood of Asahel his brother.

2 Samuel|3:28 And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

The Prophet Jermiah realized how full of deception people were in his day, We seem to live in these times today.
